Barbara at Gibson Ranch Park

My sister, Tricia (also a photographer) and I had the opportunity to shoot together! We photographed this lovely girl, Barbara at Gibson Ranch Park. It was HOT HOT HOT out there in the middle of the afternoon! I can't tell you how badly we wanted to jump in that lake! Yikes! I'm a big wimp when it comes to heat (it was probably only 80 degrees) which is why I lived in the Pacific Northwest for so long :) Barbara was a great sport (Thank you, Barbara!) and we had a lovely time photographing her. Here are a few of my shots from the afternoon!

Toddler Time

I love being part of a photog community where we can all pitch in and help each other out! Recently I was invited to fill in for my friend Angela at her son's Toddler Time. I wasn't sure what to expect being that I had never attended a Toddler Time…in fact, I've never attended a Toddler anything!  I love that age group but this was my first time spending two hours with twelve 2-3 year olds. I half expected a bunch of screaming kids running around haphazardly like in Kindergarden Cop. My husband wondered if it would change my mind about wanting kids, LOL! Not a chance! Needless to say, I had a wonderful time and the kids were adorable! Read on to see what Toddler Time was like.

The chalk board was a big hit with this little guy!

For lunch they had Hawaiian food. It smelled wonderful!

LOVE the shirt!

What a cutie! This is just before the kids went into the pool so she's wearing her favorite ladybug cape and rain boots over her swimsuit!

 The shades crack me up!

Shave ice (snow cones) were also on the menu!

This little guy wouldn't get out of the pool! He loved it!

On our way out - had to get this shot. He just stood there, unhappy about leaving.  I don't blame him one bit!

Luke

A couple of weeks ago my best friend, Angela was rushed to the emergency room and had major surgery - thankfully pulling through it all safely because she's such a tough cookie! Angela is my rock and for a change, I got to be her rock. A few days after she was home safe and sound, I flew up there to help out around the house while she recovered. Angela's 2-year-old son, Luke is adorable and great in front of a camera! On Wednesday we went to get the oil changed so I dressed him up in his rain gear and grabbed my camera. Behind the garage was an old bus, plenty of puddles, and a beautiful field! I couldn't believe my luck!

Luke couldn't get enough of the water!

Yes, there were tears when we finally had to head home. The little guy was soaked from head to toe!

Angela is doing great now and actually photographed a wedding exactly 2 weeks after her surgery.  Oh, wait…did I mention she's a tough cookie? She never ceases to amaze me! I'm so thankful for her.

Smelser Family Easter Photo

It was time for the Smelser's annual family photo and I was excited! They are such a handsome family and the boys are great about posing for photos. We did a black and white session last year so it was time for some color this year! Happy Easter Smelser Family!

Easter Weekend

One of the many fabulous things about moving back to California is being closer to family! The weather was phenomenal and the boys LOVED Vasona Park

The boys were very excited about riding the steam train!

Based on this photo you would think they had been waiting in line for hours...
Our wait was only 10 minutes.

 Grandma and Grandpa
(A true photographer - grandma's finger is always on the trigger)

After the train it was time for a ride on the carousel!

The boys were too fast for me on the playground.
I was able to capture this shot of Aidan on the
monkey bars before we headed home.

Easter morning the boys headed outside for their egg hunt!

There was one special golden egg with $2 in it

 Deep in concentration!

 Jack found the golden egg!!!

Of course it's not a holiday until the boys start wrestling over something

The End.
