Jennifer and Evan had a beautiful ceremony/reception at the Seymour Center in Santa Cruz, overlooking the ocean. I arrived to a room full of fabulous women who were so nice and welcoming! I have to say, I've never seen a bridal suite so clean before, lol! The guys were equally as wonderful and they had a blast with my fabulous second shooter, Sheli! Evan rolled up on a vintage Harley Davidson and had a vest custom made with his name on one side and Jen's name on the other! Jennifer's dress was stunning! Whether it was a custom dress or not, it was made to be hers! Another wedding with fabulous details, romance, and a gorgeous setting! The couple are off to Mexico for their honeymoon. Congratulations to Evan and Jennifer! Cheers!

10 on 10
I am WAY behind on my blog posts and I promise, after vacation, I will catch up. For now, check out this new project I'm doing with some friends/colleagues of mine...
The Ten on Ten project has been around for a few years and has grown to be a fun and interactive way for bloggers to document a snap shot of their lives. As a photographer, I get to post about special moments in other people's lives. The Ten on Ten project is a way for me to share special/funny/everyday moments from my own life. You get a little peek into what my husband calls, "Being a Hill" ... Hill is my maiden name and he usually references it when I'm being a little bit goofy. Once a month we (me and a few other photographer friends from all over the U.S) will post a personal blog with photos from our own experiences. This month we're doing a day in the life and here are my 10 photos on the 10th. Please click on the links below to see what my friends did for their 10 on 10!
A few weeks ago my husband and I drove down to Big Sur to shoot a wedding. We decided to go a day early so we could make it a bit of a mini-vaca! I booked our little cabin sight unseen and it was adorable! When we stepped out of the car we smelled the amazing aroma of the Redwood Trees and I was instantly relaxed! After unpacking the car I decided this would be a fabulous 10 on 10 day so I took out my camera and started snapping away. I loved it! It had been such a long time since I took photos for myself.

What an amazing weekend in Big Sur for Sam & Briana’s Wedding! Not only was it a fabulous wedding with amazing people, but my incredibly talented and wonderful husband was there to shoot the wedding with me! The ceremony took place at Pfeiffer Beach and the reception was close by at Loma Vista Gardens. There were so many wonderful details and surprises at this wedding, I couldn’t possibly post them all here for you. You could tell the bride and groom put a lot of heart and soul into their wedding and I love, love, love that Briana chose a non-traditional color for her dress! She looked absolutely stunning! Gorgeous! Congratulations Sam & Briana – We wish you the best!

Bridal Boudior Shoot
I usually refer my brides to a wonderful local boudoir photographer but Jen wanted to do a boudoir session instead of an engagement session and I was happy to accomodate! Years ago, as I started to specialize in weddings and portraits, I did less and less boudoir/glamour sessions until a few years went by without doing any at all. It was so fun to do it again! I find it's incredibly empowering for women to feel beautiful in their own skin and I love helping them see how fabulous they are! Usually I don't post boudoir photos but Jen was okay with me sharing a few. If you have ever thought of having this style of photography done, I highly recommend it and I know a fabulous photographer to refer you to. Please don't hesitate to email me and I'm happy to pass that information on.

Katrina & Frank's Wedding
Katrina and Frank got married on the most uncomfortably hot day of the year but you'd never know it with this group of family and friends! Everyone was all smiles and you could feel the love from a mile away! The details that went into making this wedding beautiful and unique were absolutely amazing. Congratulations, Katrina and Francisco! Your wedding was beautiful and I'm so happy for the two of you - Absolutely gorgeous!

Haydee & Jose's Engagement Session
I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! Here's a sneak peek of last week's engagement session at Natural Bridges State Beach. I had so much fun but I have to admit, I was a little worried we were going to get trapped in this particular spot! It was the first time I had a couple telling ME not to worry, lol! Thanks for the fun morning Haydee & Jose!
