Brenda & David's Maternity Photoshoot

What a fun and beautiful maternity session! I love it when couples are playful and relaxed during the shoot! We walked all over downtown Capitola and found some fun and colorful areas to use as a backdrop. Their friend Tracey joined us and was an excellent assistant - helping me with props, my cameras, the step stool (I'm short) and just about everything she could jump in and help me with. It was fabulous; I was spoiled! Congratulations to Brenda & David, I'm so anxious to meet baby Avery!

Brenda's Baby Shower

What a great day for a shower! Brenda and David's friend Tracey planned the event and included so many fabulous details into the day! I LOVED the clothesline decor with Avery's clothes hanging like a banner! This was such a wonderful group of people with so much love for this amazing couple - it was great to be a part of this celebration! Stay tuned for Brenda and David's maternity photos!

Mother's Day

We spent a lovely Mother's Day morning with some friends in Sparks! While we recently moved away from many of our friends, we also moved a lot closer to others! It was a perfect day and we had such a great time reconnecting with everyone. While we were there I took some Mother's Day photos of the girls and noticed the men are a tiny bit outnumbered in this group :) Lucky guys with all these beautiful girls! Thank you Terra and Aaron for hosting our morning together!

Uncle Joe's 80th Birthday!

My Uncle Joe turns 80 today and we all got together to celebrate last weekend in Sparks, NV. My cousin Bob and his wife Mel invited friends and family from all over the U.S. to honor this trouble maker. Yep, I said trouble maker! Don't let his good looks fool you - it's likely he's up to something mischevious at any given moment! Uncle Joe, Brown Bear, The Big Kahuna - always saying things like, "Don't eat yellow snow" and, "Show me your muscles". We celebrated this character and honored him for being a wonderful father, son, uncle, brother, nephew, cousin, and more than anything…friend. We love you, Uncle Joe!

 My sister made an amazing cake (seen in his right hand) and the restaurant gave him a dessert (seen in his left hand) with a candle in it. As much as the server tried and tried, Uncle Joe wasn't letting go of the cake my sister made so he ended up with both!
