10 on 10

The Ten on Ten project has been around for a few years and has grown to be a fun and interactive way for bloggers to document a snap shot of their lives. As a photographer, I get to post about special moments in other people's lives. The Ten on Ten project is a way for me to share special/funny/everyday moments from my own life. You get a little peek into what my husband calls, "Being a Hill" ... Hill is my maiden name and he usually references it when I'm being a little bit goofy. Once a month we (me and a few other photographer friends from all over the U.S) will post a personal blog with photos from our own experiences. This month we're doing a day in the life and here are my 10 photos on the 10th. Please click on the links below to see what my friends did for their 10 on 10!

For my 10 on 10 this month I didn't have my camera with me so I used my iPhone. The best camera is always the one you have with you! I also couldn't narrow it down to one day so this is my weekend up in the Sacramento Area with my family.

Friday morning started with a yummy cup of coffee! Last weekend was my birthday and this was my gift from my husband. It's like having a fabulous latte every morning!

My clients get to enjoy the yummy goodness of my new coffee maker too!

This is where Bella sleeps while I work at my desk editing photos.

I only worked a half day on Friday and then drove up to Lincoln to visit my family. At the toll bridge I saw this guy - totally reminded me of cars in Portland. It's half beet, half fish. I found out later that it's a Fishy Food Car. It, along with a fleet of other cars, goes around the country educating the public on the importance of GMO labeling.

The family had 4 September birthdays to celebrate so we met at Leatherby's! Yummy!

The banana split was so big I shared with my sister and Nephew.

On Saturday my sister and I went shopping for my bridal expo booth. Afterwards we treated ourselves to a fabulous dinner. Yummy Poke!

Sunday was all play! We took the boat out on Folsom lake and had a blast! The water was low and the air was a little smokey from the nearby fires but we didn't care. The boat is too much fun!

After a long day in the sun, we headed to Burger Bar for dinner. Great logo!

El Dorado Hills can get pretty hot so the patio had misters. It felt fabulous!

The weekend was some work and a lot of play but I got the items I needed to put my booth together for my bridal expos. The first one is November and I feel pretty ready for it! Here is a sneak peek of some of what's going in the booth but you'll have to wait to see it all put together.

Charlie's 1 Year Session

Ellin was the winner of my contest last year (First Year Session Package) and I can't believe it's been a year already! If you go back into the archives you can find Ellin's maternity session and Charlie's newborn/6 month sessions. It has been amazing watching Charlie and his older brother, Miles grow up over the past 12 months. For Charlie's 1 year session we went to Downtown San Jose near the Tech Museum. Lots of colors and fountains which the kids loved! Ellin made Charlie the cute dinosaur hat - So cute! Thank you for a fabulous year Ellin, Jeremy, Miles, and Charlie!
